Governor General of Canada - State Visit to Europe

Jordan was selected as a delegate to accompany Her Excellency, the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, on her State Visit to Europe, November 21-December 7, 2008, which will include visits to Hungary, The Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Slovenia. 

The intent of this trip is share Canada’s assistance in the democratic transition in Central Europe, and to explore and promote Canada’s model of multiculturalism and tolerance through academic and cultural venues. Jordan has been asked to participate in events and discussions with each country, and be able to share his personal experience and stories about giving back to the community and celebrating his culture. Certain themes of the trip includes: Diversity and Integration, Culture and Film, Youth, Community Involvement, and Law and Human rights.

An update and summary of Jordan’s memorable trip with be posted shortly!!

This is exciting news, and a new direction where Jordan can explore his career. Giving back to the community and representing your country is such an honour, and Jordan is looking forward to explore and experience these historic cultures on this trip.

Jordan Croucher, Ambassador for D250

Jordan was made an ambassador for D250 (celebrating 250 years of democracy). This role
entails Jordan being a positive role model for today’s youth and to encourage them
in becoming involved in their country’s future, and exercise their right to vote.

Celebrating 250 Years of Democracy in Canada.

Recently, Jordan opened for Jully Black and K’nann in Quebec city (August 13-14, 2008), for a 2 day celebration of 250 years of democracy in Canada. Jordan also had the honor to sit on a panel with the Governor General of Canada and discuss today’s current issues among the youth, and performed at a party for the Governor General, where Selfish Times was also selected to be used in Her Excellency’s public service announcement which will be aired this fall.
